Marlene’s early years enjoyed many gifts of nature surrounding her family’s ife in Victoria B.C. Early influences were her family, her mother worked in many art medias and father was a designer and home builder. Living on Vancouver island inspired freedom by spending time beach combing and camping. Marlene has been building homes and remodeling since she was 19. As a builder/designer she brings a strong sense of structure to the work, with a whimsical sense of the sea. Marlene is inspired by west coast beauty, integrating natures elements into her work.
